Fencing Central invites you to attend the Fencing Central Annual Awards 2024. At the end of every year, the Fencing Central community comes together to celebrate success both on and off the piste.

We invite you to complete the nomination form below. You can make nominations for some or all award categories. For all nominations, please briefly state your reason for the nomination.

While some awards are determined by competition results, there are also several awards for which you can nominate members of the Fencing Central community to acknowledge their contributions to the sport.

Fencing Central Veteran Championships 2024

Wellington Swords Club and Fencing Central invite you to attend the Central Veteran Championships 2024 on the 1st of December.

Date: Sunday 1 December 2024
Venue: WSC Club Rooms, 8 Tanera Crescent, Brooklyn
Entry fee: $40.00 for one event, $50.00 for 2+ events.
Entries due: Entries are due by Friday 29 November.

Eligibility:
To be eligible to compete in Veteran events in 2024, the fencer must be aged 40 years or older this year (if the fencer starts the year as 39 years old and turns 40 before 31 December 2024, this is acceptable).

Fencing Central First Aid Course 2024

Fencing Central is funding a First Aid course to help ensure our community are prepared and appropriately skilled for the unlikely event of emergency. The course will be run by St John.

This course is free to take part in, however, registration is limited to the first 20 applicants.

Venue: Wellington Swords Club, 2 Tanera Crescent Brooklyn, Wellington

Fencing Central invites you to attend the fourth Under 11 and Under 13 competition on Sunday 17th November 2024.

Under 11 is open to any fencer aged 10 or younger on January 1st 2024.
Under 13 is open to any fencer aged 12 or younger on January 1st 2024.

New Zealand National Senior & Veteran Championships 2024

Fencing New Zealand and Fencing Central invite you to attend the 2024 NZ National Senior and Veteran Championships. Thank you to Wellington City Council for sponsoring this event.

Eligibility: To fence in the open events fencers must be 13 years or older
Entries Due: 10:00pm Friday 11th October. Entries received after this date will attract a $50.00 late fee and are at discretion of the DT.

Letter to the Fencing Community
