Fencing New Zealand Affiliation

Fencers, coaches, officials and any supporters that wish to be a member of Fencing New Zealand are required pay an annual affiliation fee in addition to their regular club dues.

This annual contribution is critical to the success of fencing in New Zealand. The affiliation fee helps fund the structure and network that connects clubs, regions, national, and international fencing organisations.  Fencing New Zealand shares a percentage of the annual affiliation fees with Fencing Central to provide funding to support the region, including:

  • The maintenance and further development of integrity, authenticity and standards for the sport in NZ;
  • The provision and development of tournament controllers, referees and coaches;
  • The provision of pistes, scoring equipment and other infrastructure for competitions;
  • Maintenance of websites and Facebook pages to connect us and keep us informed;
  • Shiny medals, cups, awards & recognition of achievements;
  • Selection of national teams and participation of our fencers in the sport internationally;
  • Participation in the governance of the sport internationally.

To become an affiliated member of Fencing New Zealand, please visit the FeNZ Memberships Website and select the relevant membership category. Existing members can sign-in using their account to renew their annual membership.

Fencing Central is updating our affiliations period to align with the other FeNZ regions. From 2021, your affiliation will be valid for 1st January to 31st December, rather than 1st April to 31st March.
