Wellington Swords Club and Fencing Central invite you to attend the 2nd Fencing Central Secondary School Novice Competition 2023 on Saturday 9th September and the 3rd Fencing Central Under 11 and Under 13 Competition 2023 on Sunday 10th September.
Date: Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September 2023 Venue:WSC Clubrooms, 8 Tanera Crescent, Brooklyn, Wellington Entry fee: $20.00 for one event, $30.00 for 2+ events. Entries due: Entries are due by Thursday 7th September. Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the tournament organiser.
Eligibility: Secondary School Novice is open to any fencer who is in Year 7 – 13 at school with less than 24 months experience in fencing. Under 11 is open to any fencer aged 10 or younger on January 1st 2023. Under 13 is open to any fencer aged 12 or younger on January 1st 2023.

The training camp will be instructed by Steve Clarke (Foil), Mary Black (Epee), and Baz Clark (Sabre) over three days.
The competition will include both individual and teams events, with free entry to all teams events, plus a fun bonus event for each weapon! Teams events will be “Lightning” events (fencing to 9 hits rather than 45).
A social offsite BBQ will be hosted on the Saturday evening following the day’s events for everyone to come together. Please bring a plate if you are attending the BBQ.

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Fencing Central Inc. for the financial year ending 31st December 2022 is to be held on Sunday, 19th March 2023, in conjunction with the Fencing Central Under 15 & Cadet Championship hosted by Wellington Swords Club.
Affiliated members of Fencing Central Inc. aged 18 years and over are eligible to vote on matters arising at the AGM. Nominations for the Management Committee and notices of motions closed at 8:00pm Wednesday 1st March 2023.

Fencing Central and Hutt Valley Fencing Club would like to invite all of the members of Fencing Central to a celebration of the passing of another year of fencing. We would like to share the successes of our Fencers and supporters and all of the efforts that have taken place during the year.
The celebrations will be taking place at the Day’s Bay Pavilion on the 4th of December and the proceedings will begin at 1pm. The event should conclude around 4pm. Please RSVP before Tuesday 1st of December at 9.00pm.
At the end of every year, we Fencing Central comes together to celebrate success both on and off the piste at the Fencing Central Annual Award Evening.
While some awards are determined by competition results, there are also several awards that you can nominate members of the Fencing Central community for to acknowledge their contributions to the sport.
You can make nominations for some or all award categories. For all nominations, please briefly state your reason for the nomination.
