Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Fencing Central Inc. for the financial year ending 31 December 2024, is to be held on Sunday 23rd February 2025 in conjunction with the Trefoil Competition hosted by VUWSC.

Affiliated members of Fencing Central Inc for 2024 financial year, aged 18 years and over, are eligible to vote on matters arising at the AGM. Nominations for the management committee and notices of motions have closed. No notices of motions were received.

Election of new committee members
A total of one nomination was received for each of the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer. Seven nominations were received for the positions of General Executive member (there may be up to seven General Executive members on the Central Committee). Please note that this means that there will be no voting for the committee members for 2025 as all positions are uncontested. This means a proxy voting form will not be circulated.

Fencing Central Awards 2024

Fencing Central invites you to attend the Fencing Central Annual Awards 2024. At the end of every year, the Fencing Central community comes together to celebrate success both on and off the piste.

We invite you to complete the nomination form below. You can make nominations for some or all award categories. For all nominations, please briefly state your reason for the nomination.

While some awards are determined by competition results, there are also several awards for which you can nominate members of the Fencing Central community to acknowledge their contributions to the sport.

Fencing Central Veteran Championships 2024

Wellington Swords Club and Fencing Central invite you to attend the Central Veteran Championships 2024 on the 1st of December.

Date: Sunday 1 December 2024
Venue: WSC Club Rooms, 8 Tanera Crescent, Brooklyn
Entry fee: $40.00 for one event, $50.00 for 2+ events.

Eligibility:
To be eligible to compete in Veteran events in 2024, the fencer must be aged 40 years or older this year (if the fencer starts the year as 39 years old and turns 40 before 31 December 2024, this is acceptable).

Fencing Central First Aid Course 2024

Fencing Central is funding a First Aid course to help ensure our community are prepared and appropriately skilled for the unlikely event of emergency. The course will be run by St John.

This course is free to take part in, however, registration is limited to the first 20 applicants.
