Fencing Central Development Camp: July 2026

Join us for three days of intensive training, tactical development, and competitive sparring. Improve your skills with expert coaching tailored to your weapon.

Camp Details

  • Dates: 7th – 9th July (Tuesday to Thursday)
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily
  • Weapons: Foil and Epee only
  • Location: Upper Hutt College, River Gym, Moonshine Road, Upper Hutt, Wellington

Requirements

  • Age/Level: Open to all ages and experience levels.
  • What to bring: Full fencing kit, sports shoes, personal first-aid kit, spare T-shirts, and a water bottle.

Registration Fees

  • Full Day: $50
  • Half Day: $25
  • (Morning session: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM / Afternoon session: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

Learn to Ref, HVFC Monday 2nd March

Learn to Referee with Daniel Ko! – Chilton Saint James, Lower Hutt

Join Hutt Valley Fencing Club on Monday, 2nd March, at Chilton Saint James, Lower Hett, from 6pm, as they offer an opportunity to learn refereeing techniques with FIE Certified Level B referee, Daniel Ko!

Whether you’re a parent looking to get involved or a fencer wanting to give back to your club, this is a great chance to deepen your understanding of fencing and help practice sessions run smoothly.

No prior experience is necessary – Daniel will guide you through the process and make sure you’re comfortable with the basics. And who knows, you might just discover a new passion!

All are welcome, so mark your calendars for Monday, 2nd March, at 6pm, and come ready to learn!

Central Epee Squad – Coach Positions

Fencing Central is calling for Expressions of Interest for Coach and Assistant Coach of the new Regional Epee Squad program.

The intention of the program is to create a focused training environment for the top Central region fencers in each weapon to help further develop their competitive skills and ready them for high level national or international representation.

Squad Camps are expected to be Saturday/Sunday in Wellington (Brooklyn) taking place every two months.
